Trustpilot is a website founded in Denmark in 2007 which publishes reviews for businesses online. The firm relies on its users, reviewed business, and software to report questionable reviews, which it deletes or edits at its own discretion. It is therefore fair to conclude that reviews made at the Trustpilot platform provide a realistic view on the quality of the company that is being reviewed.
Customers of the Legal Floris Group can share their experience at our designated Trustpilot profile page. This external platform is an addition to the tailored reviews that we place on our website under the testimonials section. The difference between Trustpilot reviews and the testimonials published on the Legal Floris website is that our testimonials are based on a specific questionnaire to answer very specific questions future prospects might have, where the Trustpilot review site allows users to share all they want about their experience.
KwikChex, an online investigations company, acted as a whistleblower to enforce Trustpilot in their improvement of the legitimacy of reviews made on their platform. Customers of the subject company can post a review on Trustpilot. User account creation requires an email address or Facebook account. Trustpilot has the right to remove or edit reviews, although they state that they always act in good faith to adhere to their published policies. Trustpilot insists that it always makes a bona fide effort to adhere to its published policies to assure that only authentic reviews remain.
Companies are allowed to publicly respond to reviews, or report a negative review to Trustpilot’s employees if they believe that it violates Trustpilot’s user guidelines or claims to have no record of the reviewer as a customer. When a company reports a review, the review is automatically removed and replaced with a message indicating that the review is being assessed. If the reviewer does not supply the requested information (e.g. proof of purchase) within seven days, the review is removed.
